We are a non-profit 501-C 3 organization which seeks to provide a spectrum of services for the many diverse residents of Metro Louisville. This enables people to discover and utilize resources to build strong families, create a safe, supportive community and realize their individual potential.The Center provides and array of social services and referrals explicitly designed to respond to the specific and changing needs of our clients. The programs and services are constantly re-evaluated to determine the efficiency and appropriateness.

The area surrounding the Americana Community Center has become a vibrant mix of refugee and immigrant families and US born families. Great ethnic and economic diversity provides a wealth of challenges and opportunities. To meet these challenges and opportunities, the Americana Community Center was established and continues to be a resource for area families.

More than 27 languages are spoken in the diverse community surrounding the Americana Community Center. Some of the top languages spoken are Bosnian (Serbo-Coatian), Vietnamese, Arabic, Spanish, French Creole, French, Somalian. Some of the countries represented by families served in this center include but not limited to Cuba, Vietnam, Bosnia, Haiti, Iraq, Somalia, Sudan, Sierra Leone, Congo, Rwanda, Togo, Iran, El Salvador, Guatemala and Mexico. The Americana Community Center is truly "Where Louisville Meets the World".
